The girl against the light
Suddenly charmed me
I tried to ask her 'Who are you?'
But my voice staggered
Kind of embarrassed, I got her hands
Like someone who is undoing a knot
I blew her face without thinking
And her face came undone into dust
There sure is a place
A messy house
Where dreams will be true
And life won't
The girl I love would reign there
With her laughter, her sighs and her face
And a bed on which at night
She would maybe dream of me
Out of a charm she came back
Singing in a low voice
I suddenly asked 'Who are you?'
But the lights flickered
She slowly ran away from me
And when I held her, she moaned
Her dress got torn
And the face wasn't hers anymore
There sure is a place
A kind of bazaar
Where all dreams that went astray
End up
Among stairs that run from our feet
And clocks that run backwards
If I could find the girl I love
I'd never come back
