Like in a novel
The man of my dreams
Appeared in a club
He was just another guy
But all of a sudden
His eyes sucked me in
Like a zoom
He ate me
With those eyes
Of eating photographs
I said "cheese"
And from close to close
I relaxed out of my pose
Until I smiled, happy
And he came back
He offered me a drink
He called me his blue angel
My sight
Since then, got blurry
Like in the cinema
Sometimes he'd send me
A rose and a poem
Spotlight
I, like an eggyolk
Shook all over
To the blues
He had a lot of scotch
He said my body
Was his alone that night
I said "please"
Covering my low-cut shirt with a scarf
I went for it with my face
Blushed and feverish
And he came back
In my last show
With ten poems and a bouquet
I said goodbye
I'm going with my crowd
In a tour
As one loves his wife
He said that now
He only loved me as his wife
Not as a star
He crumpled my roses
He burned my pictures
He kissed me at the church altar
Never again novel
Never again cinema
Never again drink in the club
Never again "cheese"
Never a shabby love hotel
A rose, never
Never happy again
Never again novel
Never again cinema
Never again a drink in the club
Never again "cheese"
Never a shabby love hotel
A rose, never
Never happy again
