A tribute to the creator
In wonder and magnificance
No room for trivialities
Learned later in life
Tears fall in reverent awe
A testimony to time lost
When faith was sincerest
And imagination ruled
We weep for being awakened
Reminded of what we lost
Or perhaps misplaced
Treasured in our hearts
Like a loving mother
Who's voice soothes to sleep
A secure and sweet caress
Lulled symphonic serenity
Overwhelmed by daily cares
Innocence and wonder
Forlorn to malice in men
And wandering aimlessly
The cleansing tears
Make way for a sacrament
The grace of God vocalized
In such a simple song
Reminding each of us
Of the child still within
The intensity in the soul
Its unguarded emotion
A place where true concern
And kindred kindness
Loom over other tasks
Deemed much more important
