Streaked with light
The sea yells to death
Its lonely roars
On the harbor's rubber rings
A child plays outside
His heart is in nets
Braving destiny
Throwing pebbles
It will soon be the time
He will leave childhood
Taunting fear
He will try his luck
Further than the horizon
Where the shadow fades away
He has to break off all contact
To find back his prints
To frind back his print
He knows the dawn is unfaithful
& His destiny is like this swell
That never spreads its wings
He knows there's nothing more cruel
That the silence that the sea makes roll
Like a caress or a call
He knows
So he will go away
Like went away this brother
He was talking about in a whisper
The night in his prayers
Nobody cries gere
The absence of a boat
Everyone has his own pain
That we keep warm
He knows the dawn is unfaithful
& His destiny is like this swell
That never spreads its wings
He knows there's nothing more cruel
That the silence that the sea makes roll
Like a caress or a call
He knows
The procession has passed by
He didn't follow it
He no longer goes to pray
He knows he's grown up
So , gritting his teeth ,
He throws pebbles
In drowned men's faces
To see the sea cry
