Känkkäränkkä [English translation]

Once upon a time there was an evil little witch called Cranky.

She likes to eat raisins and struck people with her stick.

She is so small that adults can not see her,

but she likes to visit children.

If Cranky the Witch comes at night, the children can not sleep.

Because Sandman is really, really afraid of Cranky. (Yikes!)

If Cranky Witch sits in the table, she will eat her raisins

and make the food taste bad in children's mouths.

Well Cranky, you can come by when it's your time.

Isn't it nice that children have their own witch with crooked legs?

But Cranky, please, don't come too often, only once a week.

Because you make everything so topsy-turvy, and then mommies blame the kids.

In the morning, when the children should go to kindergarten, they throw a tantrum.

Because Cranky told them to but their shoes in wrong feet. (Oh Cranky!)

Cranky makes the children break other child's toys

and when they start to fight, she taps her stick cheerfully. (Tee hee hee)

Well Cranky, you can come by when it's your time.

Isn't it nice that children have their own witch with crooked legs?

But Cranky, please, don't come too often, only once a week.

Because you make everything so topsy-turvy, and then mommies blame the kids.

And behind all this there's just an evil little witch.
