Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was an enjoyable, polished experience, but it did end rather abruptly. The game sets up a complicated world beset with ideological conflicts and warring factions, then leaves most of it unresolved. The game’s hero Adam Jensen is also left with a lot of questions about his past at the end of the game.
Well, hopefully a few more answers will be provided in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift, the game’s first big DLC expansion. The DLC sees the return of Francis Pritchard, a character from 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, who employs Jensen to break into the Palisade Bank’s massive Blade servers, one of the most secure locations in the world. The purpose of breaking in is to find information on the mysterious Santeau Group, which may, in turn, give Jensen some new information about the Illuminati.
In addition to the main mission, which will include new types of security for Adam Jensen to outsmart, the makers of Deus Ex are promising System Rift will offer a new area of Prague to explore, and a few more sidequests as well. System Rift is available on its own for $12, or as part of the $30 Deus Ex: Mankind Divided season pass.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – System Rift is available to download right now.
