Over a year since her tragic death, Carrie Fisher lives on through her artistic contributions to the world. She starred in December’s The Last Jedi (and wrote some of the blockbuster’s best scenes), now just over a month later, she’s posthumously won the award for Best Spoken Word Album for her memoir The Princess Diarist.

Fisher took on a competitive group of nominees, winning over Bernie Sanders and Mark Ruffalo who were nominated for the audiobook version of Sanders’ Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In. She also won out over Bruce Springsteen for Born to Run (he’s won enough Grammys), Neil Degrasse Tyson’s Astrophysics for People in a Hurry, and Shelly Peiken’s Confessions of a Serial Songwriter.

As The Hollywood Reporter pointed out, this is Fisher’s second posthumous nomination after she was up for an Emmy for Best Guest Actress in a Comedy for her role in Amazon’s Catastrophe.

Fisher was nominated for the Best Spoken Word album once before for her book Wishful Drinking, which was based on her one-woman show. After she passed, HBO broadcast multiple replays of her special that is truly a must-watch for any fan of Fisher. A brilliant writer, actress, general human, and multiple award-winner.
