WWE
NXT held its live TV tapings in San Jose, CA, on Thursday night. Here’s everything that happened, and everything you need to know. As a note of clarification, while these tapings seem to spoil some of the results from Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: War Games, remember that next week’s NXT TV is the hour-long pre-show to TakeOver, and many of the shows after that will be holiday/special shows. So while you may see some of these matches on NXT TV, you may not see them all, or see them in a slightly re-edited form or context.
Please be aware that everything you read in the subsequent paragraphs is an actual, massive, legitimate spoiler for what will happen over the next several weeks of NXT television. You may read on only at your own risk. But if you’re the sort of person who just simply cannot wait until it happens on WWE Network to find out what happens next, congratulations! This post is for you!
NXT Taping Results
1. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan defeated The Mighty. The Mighty attacked Oney and Twoey after the match, because they are jerks.
2. EC3 defeated Marcel Barthel. EC3 cut a promo after the match announcing that he’s coming for revenge against Bobby Fish for attacking him several weeks ago.
3. Mia Yim defeated Vanessa Borne. Yim won with Eat Defeat.
4. Lars Sullivan defeated Keith Lee. Sullivan won with the Freak Accident. After the match, Kona Reeves cut a promo on Lee, and got beaten up.
5. The War Raiders defeated NXT Tag Team Champions Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong by disqualification after Bobby Fish ran-in and attacked Hanson with a chair. After the match, Ricochet made the save for the Raiders.
6. The Velveteen Dream defeated Johnny Gargano with the Purple Rainmaker. Dream celebrated after the match, blowing kisses and saying how much he loves everyone.
7. Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir defeated Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane. Shayna Baszler was at ringside for the Horsewomen. They attacked as a group after the match, but Sane and Kai fought them off after Baszler accidentally hit Duke.
