The second trailer for Captain Marvel debuted during Monday Night Football, seemingly exceeding everyone’s high expectations. And this week is just getting started. Reportedly, we’re getting trailers for Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home this week as well. It’s an onslaught of Marvel content that can be summed up with a tweet:

Cutest, most-welcome beatdown ever. Speaking of cute beatdowns, plenty of people on Twitter were happy to see Carol’s not-actually-a-cat, Chewie, an alien who is not to be trifled with.

But you can scratch him behind the ears, as Nick Fury does in the trailer. Although people are speculating about how that might go wrong. (Chewie, no!)

People also noticed a contrast between this younger, two-eyed Fury and the Nick Fury we’re used to:

People were also making jokes about how boned Thanos is going to be when Carol Danvers hears about his snapping nonsense.

And people were still hyped about the “HER / HERO” text transition in this trailer and the first one:

The trailer was also re-edited to Destiny Child’s “Survivor” in record time:

And we’d be remiss not to mention SkrullPunch 2018 again. Danvers punching a Skrull disguised as a kindly elderly woman was the subject of many jokes after the first trailer, and a few more jokes were made this time around:
