There’s long been a connection between hip-hop and wrestling, whether it’s R-Truth and Carmella rapping their entrance, Offset rapping about (and with) Ric Flair, or Snoop Dogg performing for his cousin Sasha Banks’ entrance at WrestleMania 32. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Wrestlers and rappers both build personas based on exaggerated versions of themselves, with often-outrageous outfits to match, and they pride themselves on poetically putting down their rivals on the mic.
So it should be no big surprise that Cardi B was a wresting fan as a kid. A while back, she referenced Eddie Guerrero in response to a fan’s joke about WWE, and more recently when a fan asked how she was familiar with Eddie, she enthusiastically explained.

Another fan reminded her who she’d forgotten:

While someone else forgot how young Cardi B actually is.

Stone Cold retired in 2003, and Eddie Guerrero sadly died in 2005. Since Cardi B was born in 1992, that means she started watching sometime in her tween years, which is a pretty good time in one’s life to be a wrestling fan. Naturally, Cardi’s tweets caught the attention of some WWE Superstars, including one of her childhood faves, Booker T:

Carmella also chimed in to mention that she has ring gear that’s based on a Cardi B album cover:

A couple more Superstars chimed in, which probably just reveals who in WWE follows Cardi B on Twitter:
