WWE
Early this morning (or later tonight, depending on your understanding of Time Zones), WWE held a Live Event in Tokyo, the first of two on this tour. As you may remember, last week’s Smackdown set up a match for this show between the Kabuki Warriors and the IIconics, with the Warriors earning a title shot it they win. Also, to the amusement of many, Triple H teamed with former Bullet Club members AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson.
Now that the show has happened, we can confirm that the Kabuki Warriors did indeed beat the IIconics, when Kairi Sane pinned Peyton Royce with an Insane Elbow, just as Asuka knocked Billie Kay off of the ring apron with a Hip Attack. That means the Kabuki Warriors do get their match for the rarely-defended Women’s Tag Team Championship, which really ought to happen at Extreme Rules, considering those titles haven’t been on a PPV since the IIconics won them at WrestleMania 35, from a team that no longer exists.
As for Triple H, his match with the Club was also a success, with H hitting a Pedigree on Top WWE Heel Baron Corbin, for a victory over the team of Corbin, Samoa Joe, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley. Never bet against the Executive Vice President.
