AEW
As the card for AEW All Out is gradually announced, All Elite Wrestling continues to reveal more concrete information about their upcoming TV show. We recently learned the first episode will air on October 2 and that it and future episodes will be live broadcasts of events held in different locations. Today, AEW announced a match for the TNT TV show for the first time. We don’t know if this will be first match on AEW’s TV show as well as the first to be announced, the episode’s main event, or somewhere in between, but we know it will be between Cody and Sammy Guevara.
Yesterday, Cody used social media to inform fans that he would be part of this match and when it would be announced. “Honored to be part of the 1st match announced for @AEWonTNT,” he tweeted, “Announcement TOMORROW at 12et.”

Shortly before the announcement, Cody tweeted about the match again, saying, “I was excited this was the match selected. To have a young & hungry opponent who has no ceiling when it comes to pro-wrestling. Going forward not backwards.”
At noon today, this ceiling-less, young, hungry opponent was revealed to be Sammy Guevara. So far, the wrestling part of the twenty-six-year-old high-flying vlogger and panda enthusiast’s All Elite Wrestling career has consisted of losing to Kip Sabian on Double or Nothing pre-show and teaming with MJF and Shawn Spears to defeat Joey Janela, Darby Allin, and Jimmy Havoc at Fight for the Fallen.
Guevara responded to the match announcement with, “If you don’t know, October 2nd you will. #BestEver”
